Yes, I was at the Flying G Ranch in 1971 and 1972 with Pat Warner and Jayne Tarrant, plus others. I made a very good friend of Lynne Bate (she went there before me and we met in 1974), whom I am still friends with today, some 40 years later!
I first went there in 1971 must have been in the March with my parents, then returned that same year in November with just my dad, as he rode, but my mum did not. I went again in 1972 must have been around May, before going to work on the Price Canyon Ranch in Arizona that October. Just loved riding, so sad when the Flying G closed down. I had to end my riding career around 1975 due to a riding accident, but my husband started riding a few years back when we've been in Banff, Canada and he loves it. |
I live on the Suffolk coast, divorced with one son aged 28 who is getting married next year. I have 3 cats and one dog, a Llasa x Tibetan spaniel (my baby). I used to work with horses most of my working life, then worked 4 years in a Rescue Centre in Kent. When I was married I had my own horses until injury dictated I could ride no more, so I had Shetland Ponies that I used to show. Sadly now finances dictate I have no equines and our animal poplutaion is dwindling due to age. My interests span all aspects of the 'paranormal', spirituality ( not religion), animal welfare, gardening ( bit hit and miss on the coastline!) and I enjoy crossword puzzles. Due to ill health ( and lack of transport) I don't go out much but I used to love walks in the countryside. Anyone want to chat I'd love to hear from you.
